| Hello Pink ink fans! Have you checked out the new release? You can find all of the fantastic new stamps on the Pink Ink website. For my card today, I used the versatile and wonderful stamp called Pair of Skates (6110) with the sentiment Heartfelt Holidays (10137)
The background was done with a few different stencils with Distress sprays and inks. To mask the image so I could get messy without worrying about getting ink on to the stamped image, I used liquid frisket.
I colored up Pair of Skates with Copics and a touch of distress markers to fill in some of the smaller detailed areas. I used picket fence stain and splatter the stain over top to get a subtle hint of white on the work.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!!

Beachtown Fence
12/05/2016
| ||||
| Good morning Pink Ink fans. Have you checked out the wonderful new release? Lots of summer fun going on. Today I used the stamp called Beachtown Fence with a coordinating sentiment. This stamp was a lot of fun to color and so many different possibilities with it. I think this stamp perfectly reflects the awesomeness of the summer season! The image has been all colored up with Copics with a touch of the copic opaque white for the surf. If you're local to Colorado Springs, we will be using this stamp and 2 other new stamps for a class at Simple Pleasures Stamp and Scrapbooking on August 20th! Thanks for stopping by for a visit today. Shelby |

Wash Day
| Hello Pink Ink fans! I hope you've been enjoying the gorgeous new release. These stamps are just perfect for so many occasions. You can find the new release on the Pink Ink Stamps website. The locations where these (and other) awesome Pink Ink stamps can be purchased can be found HERE. For today's card I colored up Wash Day and constructed an A2 card. I only used my ever handy Copics for today's coloring and the blending was a breeze with this stamps since the size of the stamp lends itself well to coloring. The sentiment is also from Pink Ink and is called Good Old Summertime. For those who are local to Colorado Springs, be on the look out for the next class schedule where we will be using several of these stamps in a cardmaking/coloring class. Thanks for visiting today, and I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. |

Keep the Sunny Side Up
28/01/2016
|
| Good morning everyone! I hope your week has gone well and you've found some crafting time. Well the awesome news is the brand spankin new Pink Ink Stamps have been release, and I know you're going to love them. It's like coloring in a mini coloring book...just fabulous. I've used a couple of the new stamps in today's card, Breakfast Special and the sentiment Keep the Sunny Side Up. I think this stamp is just so much fun and oh so unique. I wanted to make the color of the design seem like egg yolks and did a distress ink background. I stamped the circles in a solid yellow ink and then stamped the image on top. The image was colored up with mostly Copic markers and a white gel pen. Below is a video showing how I put the card together and a quick peek at the rest of the new stamps. |

Doodle Butterfly
04/01/2016
| ||||||||||||||
Good morning everyone! I hope all of you had a fantastic holiday season and that your 2016 will be happy, prosperous and healthy.
Nothing gets your day off to a better start than butterflies...even if it's just thinking of the day they are back and it's no longer winter!
I just love this new butterfly stamp from Peggy Jo called Doodle Butterfly. It's just perfect for any level of colorist to get their color on! I pulled out my Clean Color II markers and a few Copics. I colored the background of the butterfly with my Copic and then colored with the watercolor markers. Copics and waterbased products make for awesome friends. Neither one re-activates the other nor causes running/smearing. ![]() I've stamped this sweet stamp 3 times to fill the front panel. The background was done using distress inks, water and some acetate for placement.
Thanks for stopping by today for a visit!

Peace Love Joy
25/11/2015
|
| Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope your day tomorrow is full of family, friends and love...and of course wonderful food. Have you seen the fabulous new release? You can check out all of the new release gorgeous goodness HERE. For today's post I used the new stamp called Curl Heart. You can find this stamp locally in Colorado at Simple Pleasures Stamps and Scrapbooking or on-line at Ellen Hutson I colored the stamp with Copic markers and the background was done with dye inks and a foam blending tool. The stamp is the perfect size to experiment with all kinds of different colors. I chose more colors along the pink/reds line so I could use this as either a Christmas card (who says everything needs to be red and green) or a Valentine's day card. And we could all use a reminder to have peace, show love and be joyful all year round! Thanks for visiting today and may all of your holiday season be full of love, peace and joy. Shelby |

Pie Anyone?
09/24/2015
|
| Good morning Pink Ink Fans! It's my turn (Shelby) to bring you a little bit of pinky goodness on this gorgeous Thursday morning. We are finally beginning to feel a little bit like fall around here with the evenings cooling off and the leaves beginning to change. Of course that means the Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner and the best part of Thanksgiving is all of the desserts and specifically the pies!!! This fabulous stamp is called All About the Pie and can be found online at Ellen Hutson or if you're local to Southern Colorado, at Simple Pleasures Stamp and Scrapbook. I colored this stamp up with mainly Copic markers but added some Wink of Stella for some shimmer. This is one of the 3 cards we'll be making with the Pink Ink Stamps Oct. 1 class. This class using the Pink Ink Stamps is also available as a kit. I'd love to see you in class. Thanks for stopping by and see you next time! Shelby |

Pumpkin Fairy House
8/25/2015
|
| Hello Pink Ink Fans! I hope the end of your summer is going well and you're looking forward to the change of seasons into Autumn. It's Shelby here today to show you one of the oh so wonderful new stamps from the most recent release at Pink Inks. This stamp is called Pumpkin Fairy House. Isn't it so darn cute? I decided to make more of an evening/night scene with my coloring because who doesn't love a little sparkle in their lives? The background was done with Distress Inks with a foam blending tool (stormy sky, tumbled glass, fossilized amber and squeezed lemonade) and the image was colored up with Copic markers. Copics and Distress Inks (dye inks) are perfect partners since they do not react with each other when they come in contact! The stars were created with Bo Bunny glitter paste and a stencil and then I added a few (or more) crystals. I cut the image with an oval die twice and the added dimension with different sized foam dots...easy as can be! Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope I was able to give you a little bit of your fix for Pink Ink!! Shelby |

Welcome Fall
07/31/2015
|
Good morning fabulous Pink Ink fans! I hope your summer is going well though it seems to be speeding by rapidly. Have you checked out the awesome new Fall/Winter release? You can check out the goodies HERE and purchase them online or in local stores.
I had a play around with the new stamp called Picket Fence Pumpkins.
The image was colored up with alcohol markers and a touch of colored pencils. I definitely love the rich colors of the Autumn season and this stamp is so perfect using a lot of different rich colors in the card composition.
I matted the image 3 times using one of my "can't live without" tools, the Perfect Layers tool. And added die cut maple leaves in the corner for more texture and some dimension.
For all of you Colorado Springs area Pink Ink fans be on the look out for a brand spankin new class at Simple Pleasures Stamp and Scrapbook featuring the new Fall/Winter release!
Thanks for stopping by today and hope your weekend is fabulous.

Summer Ice Cream
| 06/24/2015 |
Well summer has arrived in the Rockies. For a while I thought we were all going to develop web feet from all of the rain, but alas, the sunny skies and hot temperatures are here!! Of course nothing is better in the summer than ice cream. Disclaimer, I think every season and every day is great for ice cream:)
This fun stamp is called Super Sundae and the sentiment is Good Old Summertime.
The background was created using an emboss resist technique and Distress Inks. The image was stamped onto Stamp masking paper and fussy cut out and then placed over top of the stamped image on the cardstock. Background stamp was stamped twice with the second stamp stamped slightly higher to give a second line. I embossed with white embossing powder. I used Post it Tape as a mask to create very sharp and clean lines between the colors. And of course a few sequins for some bling bling.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting today and hope your week is fantastically creative!
You can find all of your Pink Ink fix on-line at Ellen Hutson and if you're local to Colorado Springs region you can find them at Simple Pleasures Stamp and Scrapbook.

Summer Planter
05/26/2015
|
| Hello Pink Ink Fans! I hope your holiday weekend was enjoyable, and you found time to do something you love. Today I'm showing you one of the awesome flower stamps from Pink Ink.
This stamp is called Summer Planter. We're still waiting for some semblance of summer to show through in southern Colorado. Rain, rain and some more rain with a dose of clouds is all we've seen in the month of May..boohoo for us!
You can find the fabulous stamp on-line at Ellen Hutson or if you're in Colorado at Simple Pleasures in Colorado Springs. The sentiment called Thinking of You can also be found at Ellen Hutson.
The colored image was cut out with circle dies and layered with the largest circle/layer being cut from Vellum
The image was colored up with copics and the background was created using copics, colorless blender (actually rubbing alcohol works exactly the same for this technique) and a sea sponge to create texture.
Thanks for visiting today and hope the rest of your week is fantastic!

Kiddie Car
04/29/2015
|
Hello to Pink Ink Stamp Fans! It's a gorgeous day here in southern Colorado and summer is just around the corner.
I'm loving this kiddie car stamp. It just so darn sweet and definitely brings back memories of my childhood. I had to share mine with my brothers (or they were sharing their car with me) and remember needing to use wood blocks on the pedals because I was so small:)
The Kiddie car stamp can be found on-line at Ellen Hutson HERE. The too fun of a sentiment, Going Places, can also be found at Ellen Hutson HERE.
The stamp was colored up with Copics and the grass was done with a variety of colored pencils.
The papers are from Doodlebug and the gear die cut (cut out twice in white) are from Memory Box. The image was matted up with coordinating papers using the Perfect Layers tool.
Thanks for stopping by today and hoping your summer is just around the corner too and the rest of your week is fantastic.

Classic Sailboat
3-27-2015
|
| Good morning everyone. My name is Shelby Thomas, and I'm so pleased to be part of the wonderful Pink Ink design team. When I first started out in the crafting world, these were some of the first stamps I learned to color and still amongst my all time favs!
I fell in love with this stamp when I saw it. I currently live in landlocked Colorado and dearly miss the Great Lakes region where I was born and raised. This stamp is about as close as I come to sailing in Colorado! I love to use brighter colors in my designs and this sailboat was just asking for some yellows and reds! This fabulous new stamp is available on-line at Ellen Hutson and you can find it HERE.
The Classic Sailboat was colored up with Copics and I also did a reflection in the water..
Update: To create the reflection, stamp the sailboat onto cellophane (I used some old packing from a stamp set I had laying around in my craft room) using the same type and color of ink for the original image (MFT hybrid black licorice). Line up the stamped image on the cellophane underneath the original image and press down. The inking will be lighter and perhaps not as crisp as the original but that's also more true to reflections in water.
The sentiment, Aloha, was stamped twice in black Versafine.
