A Lovely Button Heart

Hello Pink Ink Fans!  Debbie Seyer here to share my latest Pink Ink Stamps creation.  It time to think of love and chocolate. Well what I mean is it's almost time for Valentine's Day. So with that in mind, I created this fun card using the 7103N Button Heart stamp. I just love this image! This card measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2".  To begin, I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink pad.  Using my patterned paper as a guide I picked out the markers and cardstock for this card.  I colored the image using Crafter's Companion Illustrator pens. These are the colors I used. Here is a closer look at the Button Heart.... I love how my card turned out!  This Button Heart image is very versatile and is really fun to color. Happy Thanksgiving to all!  I hope your day tomorrow is full of family, friends and love...and of course wonderful food. Have you seen the fabulous new release?  You can check out all of the new release gorgeous goodness HERE.  For today's post I used the new stamp called Curl Heart.  You can find this stamp locally in Colorado at Simple Pleasures Stamps and Scrapbooking or on-line at Ellen Hutson  I colored the stamp with Copic markers and the background was done with dye inks and a foam blending tool.  The stamp is the perfect size to experiment with all kinds of different colors.  I chose more colors along the pink/reds line so I could use this as either a Christmas card (who says everything needs to be red and green) or a Valentine's day card.  And we could all use a reminder to have peace, show love and be joyful all year round! Back In The Game

I've been designing stamps for Pink Ink for over two years now and loving the freedom of coming up with my own images, being able to respond to customer suggestions and learning to plan releases that are cute, coordinated and sale-able. But I recently discovered that I've been missing a little of the "thrill" of cross merchandising that I experienced in the licensing world.  That is, where a good idea "takes off" to jump from one category into another.  I've been feeling this again lately, as my newly hatched coloring book, Flora Bella, has crossed into the world of Pink Ink Stamps.  Here are two brand new card samples that I've created using stamp images that came from the pages of Flora Bella, ~ No. 2258 Earth Laughed and No. 7102 Curlicue Heart. These are the two page spreads from the coloring book that inspired the stamps ~ You can see how the book is fertile ground for stamp ideas!  Even more fun, is this brand new stamp image, Seed Packets, that I plan to put in to Flora Bella's sequel (not yet titled) which will be all about lovely gardens and the joy of gardening. I'm jazzed! But back to the thrill of creating new products...exciting news came yesterday as the book publisher, Sellers Publishing, has decided to expand the Flora Bella illustrations into two coloring calendars, one for the wall, and another in a large "desk blotter" style!   And so, the Pink Ink Empire grows, and I feel happy and honored to be creating new products that can bring hours of fun and relaxation to my friends and fans.  Now, I just have to think up that catchy new title.
