The Simple Things with Pink Ink Stamps!

01/07/15

Hello Pink Ink fans!

I have a new card to share with you created with a beautiful stamp from Pink Ink Stamp Company!

I really had fun coloring this one! I used my Zig Clean Color Brushes and got a little carried away. I was afraid that it looked like the perhaps the pot of flowers was exploding with all of those little dots I put around it, but after letting it sit for awhile and then going back to look at it, I decided I liked it :)

I stamped this with  hybrid black ink and watercolored it with Zig Clean Color brushes. I'm loving those!! After it dried I added a few highlights with my white gel pen, then cut it out using  Stitched Rectangle dies,  and mounted it with Fun Foam to a top folded card.

Here's a close up view of the explosion going on! I just thought the dots were fun :)

Summer Planter

05/26/2015
Hello Pink Ink Fans!  I hope your holiday weekend was enjoyable, and you found time to do something you love.  Today I'm showing you one of the awesome flower stamps from Pink Ink.

This stamp is called Summer Planter. We're still waiting for some semblance of summer to show through in southern Colorado.  Rain, rain and some more rain with a dose of clouds is all we've seen in the month of May..boohoo for us!
You can find the fabulous stamp on-line at Ellen Hutson or if you're in Colorado at Simple Pleasures in Colorado Springs.  The sentiment called Thinking of You can also be found at Ellen Hutson.
The colored image was cut out with circle dies and layered with the largest circle/layer being cut from Vellum

The image was colored up with copics and the background was created using copics, colorless blender (actually rubbing alcohol works exactly the same for this technique) and a sea sponge to create texture.

Thanks for visiting today and hope the rest of your week is fantastic!

A Beautiful Day!

April 21, 2015
Hello, everyone ... Sharon Harnist here and it is, indeed, a beautiful day here in south Texas!  I hope it is in your part of the country, as well.  Another reason it is a beautiful day ... this is my first post as a new design team member for Pink Ink Stamp Company and I’m thrilled to be on the blog today!

My card today uses a brand new beautiful Spring/Summer release stamp, Summer Planter (click on any photo for a larger view):

I stamped the flower planter onto Copic X-Press It Blending Card with Copic-friendly Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Sketch markers. Here's a quick step-out of the markers I used to color each of the flower types:

Below left, the C1 marker was used to give a little shading to the white 8-petal flowers, and Y15 was used for the centers. Below right, Melon and Lemon Copic Atyou Spica Glitter Pens were used to color the stamens on the orange lilies and centers of some other flowers.

Above left are the colors used for the planter box. Above right shows the C0-C1-C4 combo used for shadows underneath and behind the planter.

To finish the card, I oval die cut the flower planter image and mounted it with Copic X-Press It Foam Tape to the kraft card base. Yellow scalloped and pink die cut cardstock pieces were layered behind the image, to enhance some of the flower colors.

Finally, the pretty Have A Beautiful Day Pink Ink sentiment was gold heat embossed on the yellow scalloped cardstock piece.

Thanks so much for joining me today!
Sharon
