CAS Stitched Bird 4 x 4 set of Cards

Hello everyone!  Heidi, here today and I have a CAS (Clean And Simple) set of birthday cards to share with you.   I made a set of 4 x 4 birthday cards using the 2276E Stitched Bird and 10101D Happy Birthday My Friend stamps.  I used VersaMark ink to stamp the images and then I added gold embossing powder.  I used a heat tool to heat set and melt the powders.   Then I added some NUVO crystal drops for embellishments.  I layered the stamped panel on top of a piece of gold mirror cardstock and then added that to a 4 x 4 white card base.   This is a great card set to have on hand for when you need a quick birthday card or it would be perfect for gift giving.   I hope you enjoyed this CAS card share.  Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stack O' Pumpkins

Hello everyone!  Heidi  Blankenship, here today and I have an Autumn card to share with you using the Stack O' Pumpkin stamp from Pink Ink Stamp Company.   The Stack O' Pumpkins is one of the new images from the  new holiday release from Pink Ink Stamp Company.  I used a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper and stamped the image using Jet Black Archival ink from Ranger.  Then I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen.  To create the background I used a few different colors of Distress Inks and blended the colors. Then I stamped the image a second time on to a piece of scratch paper and fussy cut it to create a mask.  I placed the mask on top of the stamped image and then I took clean water and a paint brush and tapped the water onto the paper.  I let the water droplet sit for a few seconds and then used a paper towel to blot up the water droplets.  I repeated this process a few times and used a heat tool to speed out the drying time.  I wanted to add some shimmer to the background so I tapped my Wink of Stella pen onto the paper--just like when I added the water droplets and then I set the paper aside to dry. I trimmed the paper down and then I added black craft foam to the back.  I placed the watercolor piece on to a black A2 top folding card base.  To finish off the card I added some Crystal Reflections Sequins from Simon Says Stamp.  I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  I will have all of the supplies listed below.  Thanks for stopping by the Pink Ink Blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Livin' the Flip Flop Life Watercolor Card

Hello everyone! Heidi Blankenship, here today to share a fun and colorful summertime card with you.  I used some of the rubber stamps from the Summer Fun 2016 collection from Pink Ink Stamp Company to create an embossed resist watercolor card. This is almost a layer card.  I used Versa Mark ink to randomly stamp the Flowery Flip Flops stamp on to a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper.  Then I added white embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  Next I used Distress Inks on a craft mat and added water to them to create the rainbow watercolor look on the card front.  I added clean water to the entire piece of paper and then added the color.  Doing this helps the colors to flow and blend together.  I added a couple of layer of color and used a heat tool to speed up the drying time. These are the colors of Distress Ink I used -- picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, salty ocean, seedless preserved. Once the paper was dry I used a slightly damp paper towel to wipe off the excess ink on top of the embossing.  Doing this will really help to make the white embossed areas pop.  Next I stamped the Flip Flop Life sentiment on to a piece of velum using Versa Mark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I taped the velum to the back side of the card.  Then I added some white craft foam to the back of the paper using scor-tape.  I mounted the card front to an A2 top folding white card base. To finish off the card I added some crystal reflections sequins for a little bit of sparkle. I love how the sequins match the rainbow colors so perfectly. Hello everyone!  Heidi Balnkenship here today to share a fun summertime card with you using a couple of the Pink Ink Stamps.    To Start I stamped the On the Boardwalk image onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper with Ranger Jet Black Archival ink.  Then I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color all of the images. Some of the image were just colored with the pens and on some of them I did some blending of the color with water.  I used two different paint brushes for the blending--round 8 and liner 2.   After all of the images were colored then I did a little bit of shading at the bottom and I also colored the sky.  To achieve the look of clouds in the sky first I added the color and then I used a heat tool to speed up the drying time.  Next I added just plain water in the shape of a cloud in the sky.  I let the water sit for a few seconds and then I blotted the area with a paper towel.  Doing this pulled up the water in that area and leaving the appearance of a cloud.   I added some red and white twine and an ice cream cone charm which I thought would be a fun little embellishment and it worked perfectly for the summertime theme of the card.  I wanted to add some sparkle and dimension to the card so I went over some of the areas with the Zig Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.  Then I applied Glossy Accent to some of the images.  I also added the sentiment right under the boardwalk image.    I used two of the dies from the Tonic Studios Mixed Rectangles Layering Die Set to cut and emboss the two rectangle shapes.  I used scor-tape to apply white craft foam to the back of the image and give it a little dimension.  Then I adhered everything to a red A2 card base. This is such a fun summertime image!  It would be great for a birthday card, a day at the carnival or just a fun summertime thinking of you card. Hawthorne & Roses Watercolor Bouquet

Hello everyone!  Heidi, here today and I have a card with a beautiful watercolor bouquet of flowers to share with you. I stamped the Hawthorne & Roses image using Jet Black StazOn ink on to Strathmore Mixed Media paper.  Then I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints to color the image. Here is a close up of the image.  After I was done watercoloring the image then I did a watercolor wash using a couple colors of blue for the background.  To finish off the watercolor I used the black paint on my brush with a little water to create the tiny paint splatters.  Then I used Spellbinders Labels Forty-One to die cut the image.  I also created another die cut to layer in the background using Labels Thirty-Five.   I embossed the white background piece using a doilies embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers.  To finish off the card I added a hand dyed seam binding bow and a couple of acrylic leaves and a pink rose for embellishments. All About The Pie!

Hello everyone!  Heidi, here today and I have a card to share with you using one of the beautiful stamps from the July release.  Throughout the summer months everyone is having picnics and family reunions and I am sure there are many different kinds of pies and yummy desserts included.  I love this stamped image with all of the pies!  I stamped the All About The Pie #2251K image on to Kraft cardstock using Memento Espresso Truffle ink.  Then I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Colored Pencils.   Here is a close up of the colored image.  I added some glossy accents to the whipped topping on one of the pies and sprinkled Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter on top for a little bit of sparkle.  I also added the glitter on the Sweet die cut (Echo Park).  Then I added some glossy accents to the cherries on the top of one of the pies and to the cherries on the die cut(Memory Box).  I used labels Thirty-Six die from Spellbinders to create the layers die cut shapes. Super Sweet Sundae Card

Hello everyone!  Heidi, here today and I have a yummy sweet treat card to share with you. How many of you love to visit the ice cream shop or the local DQ for a treat?  Or do you remember the ice cream trucks?  Unfortunately, I think the ice cream trucks are becoming a thing of the past in many places. But I am sure many of us have great memories hearing the music from the ice cream truck and seeing it turn the corner to come down the street.   Then making a mad dash into the house to get some money LOL.   Here is the card I designed using the Super Sundae stamp.  This sundae looks so yummy with ice cream, chocolate, cool whip, and a cherry on top!  I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then I colored the image with Copic markers.    Here is a close up of the image.  I colored the ice cream to look like vanilla and strawberry.  Then I colored the chocolate syrup and added some Glossy Accents on top.  Once the image was colored I trimmed it down and added light pick cardstock for a mat.  I added another mat with rose cardstock and a white paper doily.  Then I adhered everything to a lite pink card base.  I used some baby pink seam binding for a bow and I also added a small pearl white acrylic bow on top.  To finish of the card I added some pale pink satin, medium pink, and moonshine sequins 2mm-4mm in size.   Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Going Places

Hello everyone!  Heidi, here and I have a fun little card to share with you using some of the newest releases from Pink Ink Stamps.  I love this Kiddie Car stamp! It is so darn cute.  Kiddie cars are a pretty hot ticket item for collectors and I know they come in all different models and colors.  I know someone who has a huge collection of these vintage kiddie cars and has been on home tours several times.  It is always so fun to see!   I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to white cardstock and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I used Spellbinders dies to create all of the die cuts and layered them on the card front using foam tape in between some of the layers to add a little dimension.  I also used the sentiment Going Places on the cloud conversation bubble die cut.   Pink Ink stamps used: 2246H Kiddie Car, 10124C Going Places – Available online from Ellen Hutson LLC. Market Basket Thinking of You Card

Hello everyone!  My name is Heidi Blankenship and  I am so excited to share my first project with you using Pink Ink Stamps.  I was so happy when Peggy contacted me to join her design team.  I am looking forward to sharing my projects with all of you. For my first card I stamped the Market Basket image on to white cardstock using Memento Rich Cocoa ink  and colored with Spectrum Noir™ Markers.  Then I created a die cut and stamped the Thinking of You sentiment at the top.  I inked the edges of the die cut with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks.  The card base is brown with a layer of kraft cardstock.  Then I added a couple layers of My Mind's Eye pattern paper from the Pretty Things Collection.  I added some 3D Foam Squares to add some dimension to the label die cut.  To finish off the card I added a twine bow and some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.
