Every Day Boho Flower Frame by Sharon Harnist

Hello, Pink Ink fans -- Sharon back with you again today! Spring has arrived
in my part of the country and on the blog today, as I'm using Pink Ink's
beautiful new Boho Flower Frame along with the pretty "Every Day
sentiment.

Isn't this a gorgeous floral garden? It has such beautiful, fine details! I gold
heat embossed the images onto watercolor paper and then simply picked up
color directly from Tim Holtz's new Distress Oxide ink pads with a waterbrush
and colored away!

The wonderful thing about this frame is that you can used it it in either a
horizontal or vertical orientation!  After the flowers were colored and the
sentiment heat embossed, I die cut the image with a stitched rectangle
die, off-centered, leaving extra space on the left side. Then I punched
holes and tied a gold cord bow.

To finish the card, I put double-sided tape around the edges of the die cut and poured glitter on the tape. The finished image was popped up with foam tape onto a light blue card base.

Just change out the sentiment and you could easily use this floral frame card idea for just about any occasion!  I hope you have fun with it!

Thanks so much for joining me today!

Stack O' Pumpkins

8/26/16
Hello everyone!  Heidi  Blankenship, here today and I have an Autumn card to share with you using the Stack O' Pumpkin stamp from Pink Ink Stamp Company.

The Stack O' Pumpkins is one of the new images from the  new holiday release from Pink Ink Stamp Company.  I used a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper and stamped the image using Jet Black Archival ink from Ranger.  Then I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen.  To create the background I used a few different colors of Distress Inks and blended the colors.

Then I stamped the image a second time on to a piece of scratch paper and fussy cut it to create a mask.  I placed the mask on top of the stamped image and then I took clean water and a paint brush and tapped the water onto the paper.  I let the water droplet sit for a few seconds and then used a paper towel to blot up the water droplets.  I repeated this process a few times and used a heat tool to speed out the drying time.  I wanted to add some shimmer to the background so I tapped my Wink of Stella pen onto the paper--just like when I added the water droplets and then I set the paper aside to dry.

I trimmed the paper down and then I added black craft foam to the back.  I placed the watercolor piece on to a black A2 top folding card base.  To finish off the card I added some Crystal Reflections Sequins from Simon Says Stamp.  I hope you enjoyed today's card share.  I will have all of the supplies listed below.  Thanks for stopping by the Pink Ink Blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Heidi

Livin' the Flip Flop Life Watercolor Card

Tuesday, July 26, 2016
Hello everyone! Heidi Blankenship, here today to share a fun and colorful summertime card with you.  I used some of the rubber stamps from the Summer Fun 2016 collection from Pink Ink Stamp Company to create an embossed resist watercolor card.

This is almost a layer card.  I used Versa Mark ink to randomly stamp the Flowery Flip Flops stamp on to a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper.  Then I added white embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder.  Next I used Distress Inks on a craft mat and added water to them to create the rainbow watercolor look on the card front.  I added clean water to the entire piece of paper and then added the color.  Doing this helps the colors to flow and blend together.  I added a couple of layer of color and used a heat tool to speed up the drying time. These are the colors of Distress Ink I used -- picked raspberry, ripe persimmon, squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, salty ocean, seedless preserved.

Once the paper was dry I used a slightly damp paper towel to wipe off the excess ink on top of the embossing.  Doing this will really help to make the white embossed areas pop.  Next I stamped the Flip Flop Life sentiment on to a piece of velum using Versa Mark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. I taped the velum to the back side of the card.  Then I added some white craft foam to the back of the paper using scor-tape.  I mounted the card front to an A2 top folding white card base.

To finish off the card I added some crystal reflections sequins for a little bit of sparkle. I love how the sequins match the rainbow colors so perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed today's card!  Thanks so much for stopping by the Pink Ink Blog.  I hope you have a beautiful and creative day!

Heidi

Hello Friends! Debbie Seyer here today to share with you a fun card I created using the Flowery Flip Flops stamp. I don't know about you but as soon as it's semi warm enough, I have my flip flops on! So you can imagine how much I love this stamp!

To begin, I stamped the Flowery Flip Flop onto white watercolor cardstock using versamark ink.  Then I dusted the images with white embossing powder and heat set them.  Then using a waterbrush and Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers, I did a color wash technique to create a bit of a rainbow effect.  Here is a closer look.

As you can see, I embossed the Sandy Toes sentiment onto some sky blue cardstock and cut it out.  I think it's the perfect sentiment for this card!

Here is another card I created using the Flowery Flip flop image.

For this card, I stamped the Flowery Flip Flops image onto watercolor paper using Timber Brown Staz-on and watercolored it with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers, too.  This time I used the Flip Flop Life sentiment!  Don't you just love it? Better get those flip flops out now, it's definitely warm enough!

Sand Between Your Toes.......

 26/04/2016
Hello Pink Ink Fans! Debbie Seyer here today to share with you a wonderful new release stamp from Pink Ink. I really love this Beachtown Fence image. Recently I received some watercolor pencils and decided to try them.

First I stamped the image onto some watercolor paper using Timber Brown Stazon ink.  Then using my watercolor pencils, a fine tip paintbrush and some water,  I watercolored the image. After everything dried, I used a rectangle die to cut it out and layered it onto a slightly larger scalloped rectangle die cut.  I love how it turned out.  Here is a closer look.

I added the Sandy Toes sentiment onto my card base to complete the project.

New Beginnings Bulbs by Sharon Harnist

01/03/2016
Happy March, everyone!  Sharon here today sharing a Spring home decor
project with you, using more of Pink Ink's latest stamp release!
You can see the entire new release HERE on Pink Ink's website.

This photo holder/stand I've had for a while was in need of some new artwork
to display, so I made a watercolor background on a 4" x 6" piece of watercolor
paper using Tumbled Glass Distress Reinker and Copic Opaque White for the clouds.

Next, I stamped Pink Ink's Row of Bulbs and New Beginnings sentiment with Versamark Ink onto an Inchie Arts 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" Art Board and gold heat embossed it.  I always love how nice and crisp Pink Ink's red rubber stamp images stamp and emboss -- such pretty fine details!  The pots and flowers were colored with these Copic markers:

Hyacinth: BV02, BV04, YG61, YG63, Y15, Y17
Daffodils: Y15, Y38, YG03, YG07
Tulips: RV63, RV66,
YG61, YG63, BV02, BV04
Shadows: C0, C2

Copic Opaque White was used to make dots on the yellow pot, fill in the white pot, and make stripes/highlights on the purple pot.

The stamped Art Square was mounted with foam tape to the watercolor background and anchored with a thin strip of aqua stripe patterned paper, then the piece was inserted into the photo holder.  = Easy-peasy new Spring artwork!

Must Be Santa by Sharon Harnist

Hello Pink Ink Fans -- Sharon here today.  Whether we are ready for it or not,
Christmas is just around the corner!  And with the stores already decked out
in holiday cheer, I can't help but get in the Christmas spirit when I see all the
pretty decorations!  And now you will probably be humming this song, just like I
was when creating this card!

Isn't this Pink Ink Must Be Santa #6109H image the sweetest?!!  And with my rekindled love of watercolor, I couldn't wait to stamp it onto and an Inchie Arts 3-inch white Art Square and color it up!  I black heat embossed the image and then used Peerless watercolors to color it.  The matboard Art Square holds up very nicely to watercolor -- no warping and the colors blend very nicely!

After the watercolors dried, I added White Wink of Stella to the white parts of Santa's suit, hat, mustache, and boot cuffs -- hopefully you can see the pretty shimmer in the darkened photo above.

To finish the card, I layered the watercolored Art Square onto a Taylored Expressions Postage Stamp die cut from Bazzill Licorice Twist cardstock, tied Peppermint twine around the bottom, and popped the image up on foam pape. The card front was also watercolored using a brick stencil on watercolor paper.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  ~ Sharon

Angel on High by Sharon Harnist

Hello Pink Ink Fans -- Sharon here today, with stepped out details on how to
watercolor Pink Ink’s beautiful new Angel on High #6108L.
So let’s get started!

1. Stamp angel and Peace on Earth #10126B sentiment with Versamark ink,
then gold heat emboss. The embossing helps to keep the watercolor contained
on finely detailed images!

2. Watercolor sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, using broad waterbrush:

3. Watercolor angel dress with Spun Sugar Distress Ink, using detailer waterbrush.

4. Add depth to folds of dress with darker Worn Lipstick Distress Marker; blend with waterbrush if needed.

5. Color skin with Antique Linen Distress Marker; blend with waterbrush if needed:

6. Watercolor wings with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink. Concentrate more color under the rows of feathers, to help create depth and accent them:

7. Watercolor hair with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.  Add Spun Sugar Distress Marker to cheek; blend with waterbrush if needed.

To finish the card, I trimmed the watercolored panel between the angel and sentiment, and also trimmed a little less than 1/4” off the top of the panel.  The panels were separated and adhered with foam tape onto a white card base, with an accent strip of gold foil paper adhered to the card base below the panels.

Do you prefer coloring with just markers?  Then use these same steps and I’m sure you’ll achieve wonderful results!

Thanks so much for joining me today!  ~ Sharon
