Is everyone ready for December? Our stockings are finally hung by the chimney with care, but this pretty one is filled with lots of goodies already! Isn't this Pink Ink Stamp Company Felt Stocking the sweetest?!! All of the fine details just amaze me and they really pop when gold heat embossed ... I adore all the stitching! I stamped and gold heat embossed the stocking onto white pearl shimmering cardstock, then colored it with Copic markers R20-22-24, YG25-17, B21-23-24, E42-43, C0-1. Next, I hand trimmed the image. To create the background, I airbrushed Copic Y17 onto the center of an Inchie Arts 4-inch White Art Square. Then I gold heat embossed the adorable Heartfelt Holiday sentiment. To finish this art piece, I adhered 1/4-inch blue glitter tape around the edges. Finally, the stocking was popped up with foam tape. Thanks so much for joining me today, I hope your December and holidays are lovely! Circle of Joy Christmas Card
30/11/16
|
To start I stamped the image using VersaMark ink on to a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper. Then, I added gold embossing powder and used a heat tool to melt and heat set the powder. Next, I colored the image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. All of the colors are listed below in the supplies.
Here is a close up of the stamped image. I layered the stamped image on to a piece of gold mirror paper and added foam squares for some dimenstion. To create the circle die cuts I used 145E Circle Layering Die Set and 1455E Scalloped Circle Layering Die Set from Tonic Studios.
I added a piece of pattern paper from the KaiserCraft Christmas Wishes collection to a white A2 top folding card base. Then I added some white/gold twine and tied a bow. To keep the ends of the twine from fraying I added some Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive to the area I was going to cut. It dries with a matte finish so you can't even see it's there. Once it was dry I trimmed the ends on the twine--and no fraying.
I hope you enjoyed this Christmas card. Thanks for stopping by today! Stay warm and Happy Holidays!
Heidi

Ice Skate Christmas
Oct 26, 2016
|
Hello, Pink Ink Fans -- Sharon here with you today! I have a wintery framed Christmas art piece to share with you, using Pink Ink's beautiful Pair of Ice Skates and Merry Christmas Oval images: I started by stamping the images onto a white Inchie Arts 4-inch Art Square with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I colored the images with the Copic markers, Lavender and Sepia Multiliners, and Clear and Silver Atyou Spica Glitter pens shown below: To build up the dimension of the skates, I colored and cut out another skate and popped it up on foam tape over the front original skate: I love the dimension this gives the piece! To finish the piece, I used an Essentials by Ellen Stitching Lines die to emboss faux scalloped stitches into the Art Square along the top and bottom. Then rows of clear gemstones were added below and above the stitching. The piece was placed into a 4-inch white frame, to display during the holidays. Thanks so much for joining me today! Stitched Bird
10/10/16
|
Hello! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had some time to play in my craft room yesterday, so I made a card using a pretty new Christmas stamp from Pink Ink Stamp Company called Stitched Bird.
I stamped my design with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I cut the image out with a double stitched Circle die. I used some Christmas patterned paper that I had in my stash for the background. I scalloped the edge of the snowflake paper with a stitched scalloped die before gluing it over the red paper.
I tied a piece of Baker's Twine around the card and added a few PPP marshmallow sequins to finish it up!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a happy week!
Kay :)

A Golden Felt Stocking!
06/10/2016
|
Hello Friends! Debbie Seyer here today to share with you my latest Pink Ink Stamps card. I have been on a mission to start my Christmas cards early this year. So I got out some of my patterned paper stash and some Pink Ink Stamps and had some fun!
This card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2". I decided to stick with a gold metallic theme for the card so I got out my gold embossing powder and heat tool. To start, I inked up the 6111K Felt Stocking stamp with some VersaMark embossing ink. Then I sprinkled it with Nuvo Classic Gold embossing powder. This is my new favorite embossing powder because it is just so shiny! I also stamped the 10136A Merry Christmas Oval sentiment and heat embossed it also. After I heat embossed the sentiment, I cut it out like a banner and tied some gold cording at one end to make it look a bit like a tag. After putting everything together, I think it turned out really nice. This would be an easy card to do assembly-line style. I made 6 in less than 30 minutes!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Stitched Bird by Sharon Harnist
Hello Pink Ink fans -- Sharon Harnist here with you today! Today I have a transitional card for you. "Transitional" meaning it still feels like summer but it's getting close to Fall and the holidays! I've used one of the new stamps from Pink Ink's new holiday 2016 collection, but colored it in summery colors (which could be used any time of the year!). You can easily change the colors to reflect whatever season or holiday you would like! I stamped Pink Ink's adorable Stitched Bird with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto X-Press It Blending Card, and then colored it with these Copic markers: BG53-45-57, Y32-35-38, RV52-63-55 and Clear, Pink, Lemon, and Turquoise Atyou Spica Glitter Pens: Copic C0 was used to shadow underneath the bird. Lockhart Stamp Company's "thanks a bunch" sentiment was added, then the images die cut with a stitched circle die. The image was popped up with foam tape over a bubble background I created. Full instructions for the background can be found HERE on my blog. Is it Fall yet in your part of the country? Happy stamping! Skating into the Holidays
31/08/2016
|
Hello Pink ink fans! Have you checked out the new release? You can find all of the fantastic new stamps on the Pink Ink website. For my card today, I used the versatile and wonderful stamp called Pair of Skates (6110) with the sentiment Heartfelt Holidays (10137)
The background was done with a few different stencils with Distress sprays and inks. To mask the image so I could get messy without worrying about getting ink on to the stamped image, I used liquid frisket.
I colored up Pair of Skates with Copics and a touch of distress markers to fill in some of the smaller detailed areas. I used picket fence stain and splatter the stain over top to get a subtle hint of white on the work.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit!!

Stack O' Pumpkins
8/26/16
|
Hello everyone! Heidi Blankenship, here today and I have an Autumn card to share with you using the Stack O' Pumpkin stamp from Pink Ink Stamp Company. The Stack O' Pumpkins is one of the new images from the new holiday release from Pink Ink Stamp Company. I used a piece of Strathmore mixed media paper and stamped the image using Jet Black Archival ink from Ranger. Then I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen. To create the background I used a few different colors of Distress Inks and blended the colors.
Then I stamped the image a second time on to a piece of scratch paper and fussy cut it to create a mask. I placed the mask on top of the stamped image and then I took clean water and a paint brush and tapped the water onto the paper. I let the water droplet sit for a few seconds and then used a paper towel to blot up the water droplets. I repeated this process a few times and used a heat tool to speed out the drying time. I wanted to add some shimmer to the background so I tapped my Wink of Stella pen onto the paper--just like when I added the water droplets and then I set the paper aside to dry.
I trimmed the paper down and then I added black craft foam to the back. I placed the watercolor piece on to a black A2 top folding card base. To finish off the card I added some Crystal Reflections Sequins from Simon Says Stamp. I hope you enjoyed today's card share. I will have all of the supplies listed below. Thanks for stopping by the Pink Ink Blog today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Heidi

Heartfelt Holiday Wishes
06/08/16
Hi all! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's been so hot here. I'm so ready for Fall and Winter. I'm just not a fan of summer. I'd be happy if we could jump from Spring straight into Fall. So to help me feel better about about the heat we're enduring, I made a Christmas card with some of the pretty new stamps from Pink Ink Stamp Company!
I just love this image! I wanted it to look kind of old fashioned and tea dyed, so I watercolored with Distress markers. I stamped first with Simon Says Black ink onto Master's Touch Watercolor paper. The image was cut out with a stitched rectangle die and them mounted with foam tape onto my card. I covered the base of the card with some patterned paper from Penny Black.
This one really put me in the holiday mood! This is my favorite card making time of the year, August through December! I love the fall and winter products!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and stay cool!
Hugs,
Kay :)

Time for Fall Apples!
04/08/2016
|
Hello Pink Ink Fans! Debbie Seyer here today to share with you my latest Pink Ink card using the new release 2275H Apple Stand. I can't believe how fast the summer has flown by and it's almost apple picking time! This is a fun stamp to color and is perfect for those fall cards!
I stamped the Apple Stand image using Timber Brown Staz-on ink onto some Strathmore Mixed Media paper. Then using some Aquablend pencils & paintbrush, I watercolor the image. I added some olive green patterned paper, lace, twine and a button to the card. Then I stamped the "Thinking of You" sentiment onto white cardstock using brown ink. I used a label punch to punch out my sentiment and adhered it into place using some 3d foam squares. Here is a closer look....
This was so much fun and relaxing to color! I hope you enjoyed my fall Apple Stand card. Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs,
Debbie

Hello everyone! Heidi Blankenship, here today to share a fun and colorful summertime card with you. I used some of the rubber stamps from the Summer Fun 2016 collection from Pink Ink Stamp Company to create an embossed resist watercolor card. To finish off the card I added some crystal reflections sequins for a little bit of sparkle. I love how the sequins match the rainbow colors so perfectly. I hope you enjoyed today's card!
