Hello Pink Ink Fans! Debbie Seyer here today to share with you a wonderful new release stamp from Pink Ink. I really love this Beachtown Fence image. Recently I received some watercolor pencils and decided to try them.
First I stamped the image onto some watercolor paper using Timber Brown Stazon ink. Then using my watercolor pencils, a fine tip paintbrush and some water, I watercolored the image. After everything dried, I used a rectangle die to cut it out and layered it onto a slightly larger scalloped rectangle die cut. I love how it turned out. Here is a closer look.
I added the Sandy Toes sentiment onto my card base to complete the project.
You can check out all the wonderful Pink Ink Stamps and find a retailer near you on the Pink Ink Website.

Just the Word "Vacation"
4/24/2016

Call it a break, a holiday, time off or r & r - we all
need one occasionally, and rarely get as much as we need. As a self run business,
"stay-cations" just don't cut it.
When your studio is at home, the pull of the drawing board and emails
and orders is just too strong to resist.
So, after a l-o-o-o-n-g hiatus, my husband and I are off on a real vacation this week - in an
airplane, over the water, to somewhere where English is not the first
language.
I've been consumed by the "busy-ness" of business
for the past few months - illustrating two 88 page coloring books back to back,
designing a new group of summer stamps and attending a trade show across the
country. It's hard to un-plug and let
things subside. I keep thinking about
what needs to get done next...because there's always something!
So I bought myself a lovely hot pink leather sketch book
and a nifty new .05 drawing pen and I'm going to take these two weeks off and
do some sketching just for myself. I'm
going to try to relax and "be a sponge" - to soak up different
sights, sounds, scents and flavors (we're
taking a couple cooking classes together)!
Hopefully, I'll come back recharged and reinvigorated and ready to seize
the day once again.
Vacations can be many things - a day in the city visiting
museums and shopping, a hike in the woods, a trip to the beach, a weekend of
wine tasting (I'm betraying my California roots here). Pink Ink's new summer stamp collection is all
about the fun and relaxation of summer vacation...even if it's just donning a pretty
pair of flip flops.
Ciao Baby!

Flowery Flip Flops

Hello! Have you worn your flip flops yet this spring? I've had mine on a couple of times, but it's still a little early. We've had a mild winter and an early spring, but still not quite warm enough to break out the shorts, tank tops and flip flops.
But I do have a card that will get you in the flip floppy mood! I'm using some of the cute stamps from the Pink Ink Stamp company's newest release. I love the little sandcastle and of course the flip flops!
I used my Peerless watercolors and my Zig Clean Color brushes for this. The Zigs are great for coloring in the tiny areas on the flip flops. I used the Peerless for the bigger areas and the blue background. I used Master's Touch watercolor paper and stamped them in Simon Says Black ink. I cut it out with a stitched rectangle die, and mounted it onto a kraft card base.
This was a fun one! It won't be long until the flip flops will be a daily thing around my house!
You can check out all of the Pink Ink Stamp Company's stamps and find a retailer near you at Pink Ink Stamps.
